Trail day – Sunday June 5 – Eagle Mountain

The plan is to work on the new reroute on lower Physiotherapy.

TORCA is excited to host this trail day for the Buntzen Burners running group. We invite everytody to come out with them, as this might be one of our last trail days for the next 2 -3 months if we get another hot and dry summer.

Meet us at the Gravel Lot beside Aspenwood Elementary – MAP
When: 9 AM for coffee & snacks, sign waivers
Head out on the trail at 9:15 AM
Lunch time is around 1:30
 
Lunch, snacks and coffee will be provided. Please bring some water and a pair of gloves. Tools will be provided but if you have a favourite tool that you love working with, feel free to bring it!

No experience necessary! Dogs and children are welcome but please note that we are using some heavy duty tools and pets and kids are your responsibility on the trail.

If you are unsure about sizing just drop by the fundraiser. Joe from Champion Systems will be onsite with some samples and will be able to answer your questions.

Come race in the TORCA 500 – Thursday May 26, 2016

We are happy to announce that the TORCA 500 is happening on Thursday May 26, 2016 at Heritage Mountain.

This is a fun event for all ages and skill levels. Test yourself, compete against others…the choice is yours.

The course is 6 km long and there will be a 1 or 2 lap option. The route starts with a a climb up to Bert Flinn Park then into North Starz, Starz and Stinger. We will also have a kids component.

 

Details:

Meet at Pleasantside Elementary, 195 Barber St, Port Moody
Entry fee is $5
TORCA membership is required (onsite membership signup available)

Registration starts at 5:30 PM
Race starts at 6:30 PM (sharp)

We will need some volunteers to help out with course marshalling, registration etc. If you want to be part of the fun but don’t feel like racing please sign up as a volunteer here.

Annual Fundraiser – Sunday May 29th – 6PM

The best bike party in the Tri-Cities is back!

$25 buys you a burger, a craft beer from Yellow Dog and an entry for our draw prizes. Our fantastic friends from Yellow Dog are also donating $1 from every glass of their beer sold at the event to TORCA.

There will be door prizes, a silent auction and a 50/50 draw. We’ll also be giving away our 2015/2016 Trail Fairy Trophy to one lucky winner.

This year’s event will be held at The Burrard Public House in Port Moody start at 6 PM.

Come out and party it up for the trails you love!
