February 23 Trail Day Cancelled

February 22, 2014 at 6:25 pm

Sunday February 23rd’s trail day event has been CANCELLED.  It is just too snowy and mucky to get any good building done.  Hopefully mother nature will be more accommodating for our next trail day on March 29th.

TORCA has been selected to compete against 8 other Western Canadian MTB organizations in Mountain Equipment Co-Op’s Dirt Search Contest. The grand prize is a $10,000 grant!

How can you help us win?

All you have to do is vote for us once per day from now until February 26th. Sound simple? It is!!

Click on the link below to vote:

(look for the image with the header: Port Moody, Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam)

What would we do with the cash?

We’ll continue to advocate, build, & maintain trails for everyone to enjoy in the Tri-Cities. $10,000 could buy us quite a few kms of new dirt!!

(Note: when you click on the ‘vote’ button, there is no confirmation, all of the images become ‘greyed out’. The following day, the ‘vote’ button should reappear. Click vote and repeat until the end of the contest).

Trail Maintenance Day – Feb. 23

February 2, 2014 at 12:13 pm

We’ll spend our first trail day of 2014 working on the exit of Randy’s.

The goal of the day will be to improve drainage in this area. If you want to nerd out on how to minimize damage caused by water flow then this a trail day you don’t want to miss!

Meet us at the gravel lot beside Aspen Wood Elementary School at 9:00 am on Sunday, Feb 23rd.
